Hopelessly Romantic

Even now a frown when thoughts abound
A mere glimpse
A fleeting hope
Quickly squandered and back to what’s Common
I wish to Roam
I wish to Wander
Thoughts abound to that which is Squandered
It’s not the solitude
It’s not the empty bed
But to have the hint of intimacy quickly fizzled
Leaves fear of its commonality forming me far too complacent
